Our flights were fine - we landed in Amsterdam, then flew on to Hamburg where we rented a car. This was part of the German countryside on our way to the ferry to Denmark - there are great fields of the yellow flowers.
The bridge to Fehmarn, which is at the far north end of the Germany. This is where the ferry leaves for Denmark
Leaving the harbor at Puttgarden for the 45 minute ride to Rodby on the Danish side. We were expecting a marching band to greet us we entered the country for the first time!
ITS THE CASTLE! It was only about 5 minutes off the highway - built in 1564!
Another view of the beautiful Dutch Renaissance architecture.
Full view of the house. It has two floors and and attic area.
The Baron and I! This is Baron Frederik Rosenoern-Lehn, owner of the house. His family bought the house in 1729.
The back view of the gardens, which were at one time baroque style gardens laid out in a grid with flowers and fountains.
