This is the King's Heath Park. Most of Jutland was covered with this sort of shubbery that blooms in August. The largest sheep herd in Scandinavia is actually an important part of maintaining the heath park.
These stones are in the park and list how much of the land was in heath in 1850 and 1950 on the circle graphs. Not suprisingly, most of the land has now been turned over to cultivation and little of the heath is left.
The pretty church in Sondervinge, where my great-grandparents were born. All of the churches were locked up tight, even on Sunday which surprised me - I don't know when they are open.

The church in Lindum. Most danish churches were built before the 14th century and follow a basic Roman design - very simple. They were originally built as Catholic churches but became protestant after the reformation.
