This was a scene along the highway as we drove from Copenhagen to Viborg - we crossed a HUGE bridge across the channel between the islands of Sealand and Fyn.
Here was the lighthouse that was halfway across the channel.
Downtown Viborg - people were finishing up their shopping as all the stores closed at 2:00 PM.
This was in the museum in Viborg - a recreated general store, complete with old cash register.
Another part of the store - I think the sign is advertising coal brickettes for heating your coal fired stove!
The famous Viborg cathedral. This is the third church to be built at this site, this one in 1876. The other two churches burned. They used stones from the first two churches to build a roman style church from granite. The inside of the church has many beautiful frescoes.
A country scene along the road with Holstein cows - they were developed in Denmark.
The church in Asmild, a small country town just outside of Viborg. This is where the family records trace back to Sharon's oldest known relatives in this area.
